Intel Celeron J4125 vs Intel Processor N150

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J4125 is a processor for entry-level desktops and mini-PCs, based on the Gemini Lake architecture and manufactured in 14 nm.

It is designed for basic computing tasks and media playback. Its single-core and multi-core performance is sufficient for simple applications. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 is suitable for simple graphics applications. It supports PCIe 2.0 and offers a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. The Intel Processor N150, based on the Twin Lake architecture and manufactured using a 7 nm process, is intended for energy-efficient entry-level systems.

It offers significantly higher performance for everyday tasks. Its single-core and multi-core performance is substantially better than that of the Intel Celeron J4125. The Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) provides improved graphics performance. It is more energy-efficient and supports PCIe 3.0, also with 38 GB/s memory bandwidth.

In terms of performance comparison, the Intel Processor N150 significantly outperforms the Intel Celeron J4125 in computing power. Neither processor is primarily designed for gaming; however, the Intel Processor N150 offers advantages in very light games or media playback due to its newer graphics unit.

Regarding power consumption, the Intel Processor N150 is more efficient thanks to 7 nm manufacturing. The Intel Processor N150 thus offers a better price-performance ratio for current entry-level systems, while the Intel Celeron J4125 remains a very cost-effective option for minimal requirements.
