The Intel Celeron J4105 (Gemini Lake, late 2017) is designed for energy-efficient, cost-effective mini-PCs and basic tasks.

Manufactured in a 14 nm process, it features four cores/four threads, Intel UHD Graphics 600, and PCIe 2.0. It has 4 MB of L3 cache and 38 GB/s memory bandwidth. It offers basic single-core and multi-core performance. The Intel Processor N95 (Alder Lake N, early 2023) offers a more modern platform for the entry-level segment.

It delivers noticeably higher performance for everyday tasks. Manufactured in the more advanced 10 nm process, it also has four cores/four threads (Gracemont), Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Alder Lake), and PCIe 3.0. It features 4 MB of L2 cache, 6 MB of L3 cache, and also 38 GB/s memory bandwidth. In a direct comparison, the Intel Processor N95 shows significantly higher single-core performance for more responsive systems and also clearly outperforms the J4105 in multi-core applications.

Both are unsuitable for demanding gaming, although the N95's graphics unit is more modern. Both CPUs are known for low power consumption and low TDP, ideal for fanless systems. The price-performance ratio of the N95 is better, as it offers superior performance at a similar price. For budget-conscious users and the simplest tasks, the Intel Celeron J4105 is sufficient.

The Intel Processor N95 is the superior choice for better system responsiveness and higher performance in everyday tasks, media playback, and light multitasking.
