Intel Celeron J4105 vs Intel Celeron N5095

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J4105, based on the Gemini Lake architecture, was manufactured in 14 nm. As a quad-core processor without Hyper-Threading with 0 MB L2 cache and 4 MB L3 cache, it is intended for energy-efficient desktops and embedded systems and supports PCIe 2.0.

Its integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 and a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s are sufficient for basic multimedia tasks. The Intel Celeron N5095 comes from the newer Jasper Lake architecture and is manufactured using a 10 nm process.

It is also a quad-core processor without Hyper-Threading, but offers 2 MB L2 cache and 4 MB L3 cache. This processor, which supports PCIe 3.0, also targets energy-efficient systems. Its Intel UHD Graphics with 16 Execution Units (Jasper Lake) and a maximum memory bandwidth of 47 GB/s indicate a more modern graphics solution.

In terms of computing performance, the Intel Celeron N5095 shows significantly higher performance than the Intel Celeron J4105 in single-core and multi-core applications, with the differences each exceeding 10 percent. This speaks for the improved architecture of the Intel Celeron N5095.

Neither processor is designed for gaming, but the Intel Celeron N5095 offers slightly better performance in very simple games due to its more modern graphics unit and higher memory bandwidth. The 10 nm manufacturing process of the Intel Celeron N5095 also leads to higher energy efficiency compared to the 14 nm process of the Intel Celeron J4105, which is noticeable in performance per watt.

Since no market prices are available, the price-performance ratio can only be assessed based on the performance increase of the Intel Celeron N5095.
