Intel Celeron J3060 vs Intel Processor N150

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J3060, based on the Braswell architecture, was developed for simple, energy-efficient systems.

It is manufactured using the 14 nm process and features two cores and two threads with 2 MB L3 cache. The integrated graphics unit is the Intel HD Graphics 400, and it supports PCIe 2.0 with a maximum memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s. The newer Intel Processor N150, a representative of the Twin Lake architecture, targets modern entry-level systems.

It is manufactured using the finer 7 nm process, offers four cores and four threads, as well as 6 MB L3 cache and 4 MB L2 cache. Its graphics unit is the Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) and it supports PCIe 3.0 with a memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. The Intel Processor N150 significantly surpasses the Intel Celeron J3060 in terms of computing performance.

Benchmarks such as Geekbench 6 show significantly higher single-core and multi-core performance for the Intel Processor N150, with increases of well over 10 percent. The Intel Processor N150 is also clearly superior to the Intel Celeron J3060 in integrated graphics performance, which enables better rendering for basic multimedia and casual applications.

Thanks to its more modern 7 nm manufacturing process, the Intel Processor N150 is also more energy-efficient. The Intel Celeron J3060 is an end-of-life model that can only be found in older or used systems. The price-performance ratio of the Intel Processor N150 is much more attractive for modern basic systems due to its significantly superior performance.

For any new purchase that goes beyond the absolute most basic tasks, the Intel Processor N150 is the clear recommendation. The Intel Celeron J3060 is only relevant for extremely specialized, cost-critical legacy applications.
