The Intel Celeron J1900 is based on the Bay Trail architecture and was designed as an energy-efficient solution for compact desktop systems and embedded applications.

Manufactured using a 22-nanometer process, the processor has four physical cores and four threads. The architecture does without a level 2 cache, but offers a level 3 cache of two megabytes. With a maximum memory bandwidth of 21 GB/s, it offers a solid data throughput rate for its class. In terms of computing power, the Intel Celeron J1900 shows a reliable basis for simple office work, but lags behind its competitor in synthetic comparisons.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1) is primarily suitable for simple image output. With a low thermal design power, the model is designed for fanless cooling concepts. It offers an attractive price-performance ratio for basic applications in noise-sensitive environments. The AMD GX-424CC originates from the Temash architecture, which is based on the Jaguar+ design, and targets the market for industrial controls and thin clients.

This processor is manufactured using a 28-nanometer process and also offers four cores and four threads. In contrast to its competitor, it uses a level 2 cache of two megabytes, but dispenses with a level 3 cache. In common computing power metrics, the AMD GX-424CC achieves significant advantages over its competitor in both single-core and multi-core performance.

Thanks to the integrated AMD Radeon R5E graphics unit, it delivers superior graphical performance, which qualifies it for more visually demanding tasks. Despite the slightly older manufacturing technology, power consumption remains moderate, although the thermal load is higher than that of the Intel model.

It represents a powerful alternative for specialized multimedia systems.
