For graphics-intensive tasks, the Apple M3 Pro with 14 GPU cores offers stronger performance than the Apple M5 with 10 GPU cores.

The higher GPU core count of the Apple M3 Pro enables smoother frame rates. Both utilize 154 GB/s memory bandwidth. Both 3 nm chips are known for high energy efficiency. As a newer generation, the Apple M5 benefits from optimizations for better efficiency per unit of performance. Despite a higher core count, the Apple M3 Pro is also very efficient.

As the current base model, the Apple M5 offers improved computing performance and a good price-performance ratio. It is preferable for computing power and efficiency. The Apple M3 Pro, with superior graphics performance, is better suited for demanding graphics work and gaming.
