AMD A8-7670K vs Intel Processor N150

The AMD A8-7670K, released in mid-2015, was a desktop processor with integrated graphics for the mainstream market.

The Intel Processor N150, introduced in the first quarter of 2023, is an energy-efficient processor for low-power systems.

The AMD A8-7670K (Kaveri/Steamroller, 28 nm) offers 4 cores/4 threads, 0 MB L2 and 4 MB L3 cache, PCIe 3.0, and 34 GB/s memory bandwidth. The Intel Processor N150 (Twin Lake, 7 nm) also has 4 cores/4 threads, but 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache, PCIe 3.0, and 38 GB/s memory bandwidth.

Thanks to its modern architecture, the Intel Processor N150 shows over 10 percent higher single- and multi-core performance than the AMD A8-7670K. Demanding gaming is not possible with either iGPU (AMD Radeon R7 - 384 Kaveri vs. Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs Alder Lake); only basic requirements are met.

The AMD A8-7670K has a TDP of 95W, while the Intel Processor N150 impresses with an extremely low 6.5W TDP for energy-efficient, fanless systems. The discontinued AMD A8-7670K is only available used and very cheaply. The Intel Processor N150 is a current product with a good price/performance ratio.

For new, efficient systems, the Intel Processor N150 is the clear choice; the AMD A8-7670K is only suitable for undemanding budget projects with older hardware.
