The
AMD A8-7670K was a notable processor in its time. It was based on the
Kaveri (
Steamroller) architecture and manufactured using a 28 nm process. One of its greatest strengths was always the integrated graphics unit. The AMD Radeon R7 - 384 (
Kaveri) enabled solid graphics performance directly on the chip.
This allowed light games and everyday multimedia tasks to be handled smoothly. Often, a separate graphics card was not necessary, which simplified the construction of compact and cost-effective systems. Another feature is the unlocked multiplier of this
K-model. Overclockers had the opportunity to get even more
performance out of the chip.
This offered welcome flexibility for technically interested users. The processor also supported PCIe 3.0 and had 4 MB of Level 3 cache. It was a good choice for general computing tasks and as a basis for home office PCs. We appreciated its balanced functionality at the time. It offered a solid foundation for many price-conscious system configurations.
