The AMD A6-3400M (Llano, K10), introduced Q2 2011, targeted mainstream laptops. The Intel Processor N100 (Alder Lake N), from Q1 2023, is an energy-efficient processor designed for low-power devices such as mini-PCs.

The AMD A6-3400M was manufactured using a 32 nm process and features 4 cores/4 threads with 4 MB of Level 3 Cache. The Intel Processor N100 uses the more advanced 10 nm process and also offers 4 cores/4 threads (efficiency cores) with 4 MB of Level 2 and 6 MB of Level 3 Cache.

The Intel Processor N100 significantly outperforms the AMD A6-3400M in single-core and multi-core performance, with differences well over 10 percent, thanks to its more modern architecture. Neither is suitable for demanding games. The AMD A6-3400M has an AMD Radeon HD 6520G. The Intel Processor N100 offers Intel UHD Graphics with 24 EUs; its newer architecture and 38 GB/s memory bandwidth enable better performance for basic multimedia and simple games.

The AMD A6-3400M has a TDP of 35 Watts. The Intel Processor N100 is designed for maximum energy efficiency with a very low TDP of 6 Watts. The AMD A6-3400M is outdated and only available used. The Intel Processor N100 is currently available in budget devices and offers excellent value for money.

The AMD A6-3400M is technologically obsolete. The Intel Processor N100 offers significantly higher performance with extremely lower power consumption and is the clear recommendation for all modern, light use cases.
