Intel Xeon D-1557, a processor of the
Broadwell architecture, was manufactured using the 14 nm process. This advanced manufacturing enabled remarkable energy efficiency. With 12 cores and 24 threads, it offered solid multithreading performance for its applications. It was designed as a System-on-Chip (SoC).
This meant a high integration of CPU and platform functions. This design significantly simplified the design of compact systems. It also enabled very energy-efficient solutions.
