The AMD A6-5400K was a remarkable solution in its time. It cleverly combined a processing core and a graphics unit on a single chip. The integrated AMD Radeon HD 7540D graphics unit offered solid performance at the time. It was well suited for daily office tasks and multimedia content playback.

We could build simple systems without a separate graphics card. This saved costs and space in the case. This processor is based on the Kabini (Jaguar) architecture and was manufactured using the 28 nm process. Another advantage was the free multiplier, recognizable by the K in the product name.

Enthusiasts used this opportunity to adjust the clock rates. In this way, they got even more performance out of the chip. It had 1 MB Level 3 cache. A memory bandwidth of 30 GB per second rounded off its features. The AMD A6-5400K was ideal for price-conscious users. It offered a compact base for everyday PCs or HTPCs.

Its integrated design was a great advantage for smaller budgets. It was a good example of the integration that was being strived for at the time.
