The AMD Ryzen 7 7730U (Barcelo Zen 3, 7 nm) also entered the market in 2023 and targets more powerful, energy-efficient ultrabooks.

It offers 8 cores and 16 threads, 4 MB L2, and 16 MB L3 cache. The integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics unit is significantly stronger. With a maximum memory bandwidth of 34 GB/s, it offers balanced performance for more demanding applications. In terms of performance comparison, the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U significantly outperforms the Intel Processor N100 in single and multi-core performance, as well as in gaming scenarios, thanks to its superior integrated graphics.

The Intel Processor N100 scores with an extremely low TDP of 6 watts for fanless operation and maximum battery life. The AMD Ryzen 7 7730U, with a TDP of 15-28 watts, also offers good energy efficiency for its performance class. In terms of price, the Intel Processor N100 is found in more affordable systems, while the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U offers a better price-performance ratio for higher requirements.
