The Intel Core i7-4770K, based on the Haswell S architecture, was introduced in the second quarter of 2013 for high-performance desktop systems.

It is manufactured using the 22 nm process and features 4 cores, 8 threads, and 8 MB of Level 3 cache. Its integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 is suitable for simple tasks. In single-core tests, it shows solid performance, while in multi-core applications, it delivers significantly higher performance than the N100.

For gaming, it is the superior choice, especially when combined with a dedicated graphics card. Its TDP is significantly higher, which is typical for its offered computing power. The maximum memory bandwidth is 26 GB/s. It can be found cheaply on the used market. The Intel Processor N100 is a newer development from the first quarter of 2023, based on the energy-efficient Alder Lake N architecture.

It is manufactured using the modern 10 nm process and offers 4 cores and 4 threads with 4 MB of Level 2 and 6 MB of Level 3 cache. Its integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) is designed for basic multimedia tasks. In single-core tests, it can be comparable to the Intel Core i7-4770K due to its architecture, but its performance is lower under multi-core loads.

It is not designed for demanding gaming. Its very low TDP makes it ideal for fanless, compact systems and basic office tasks. The maximum memory bandwidth is 38 GB/s.
