The Intel Processor N150, based on the Twin Lake architecture, is a newer chip designed for energy-efficient and cost-effective entry-level systems.

The i7-3630QM (22 nm) offers 4 cores/8 threads and 6 MB of L3 cache. The N150 (7 nm) has 4 cores/4 threads, 4 MB of L2, and 6 MB of L3 cache. The N150 significantly outperforms the i7-3630QM in single-core and multi-core performance, reflecting its more modern architecture and advanced manufacturing process.

Gaming performance is limited for both. The Intel HD Graphics 4000 of the i7-3630QM is basic. The Intel UHD Graphics (24 EUs) of the N150 offers noticeably better performance for light gaming and high-resolution video playback. The i7-3630QM has a TDP of 45W and 21 GB/s memory bandwidth. The N150 is extremely efficient with a 6W TDP (38 GB/s memory bandwidth), ideal for fanless systems and long battery life.

The i7-3630QM is outdated and only relevant for used systems. As a current entry-level processor, the N150 offers good value for money. For most current, light applications where efficiency and compact design are important, the Intel Processor N150 is clearly the better choice. The i7-3630QM is only suitable for continuing to operate existing legacy systems.
