V-Ray CPU-Render Benchmark

V-Ray is a 3D rendering software from the manufacturer Chaos for designers and artists. Unlike many other render engines, V-Ray is capable of so-called hybrid rendering, in which the CPU and GPU work together at the same time.

However, the CPU benchmark we used (CPU Render Mode) only uses the system's processor. The working memory used plays a major role in the V-Ray benchmark. For our benchmarks we use the fastest RAM standard approved by the manufacturer (without overclocking).

Due to the high compatibility of V-Ray (including Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Unreal Engine and Blender), it is a frequently used software. With V-Ray, for example, photorealistic images can be rendered that laypeople cannot distinguish from normal photos.

ASUS TUF Dash F15 Unknown

VS Description of the processor

I'm not quite sure what to say about the comparison of these two processors, so I'll just stick to the facts and refrain from making a review.

The Intel Core i7-11370H was released in the first quarter of 2021 and is manufactured using the 10-nanometer process. It comes from the eleventh generation of Intel's Core i series and is based on the Tiger Lake H architecture. The Intel Core i7-1165G7 was launched about half a year earlier in the third quarter of 2020 and is also manufactured using the 10-nanometer process. It also comes from the eleventh generation of the Core i series, but is based on the Tiger Lake U architecture.

The processors both have 4 cores and support Hyperthreading technology, which gives you 8 computing threads (also called logical cores) if required. The base clock frequency of the Intel Core i7-11370H is 3.30 gigahertz and the maximum turbo clock is 4.80 gigahertz. Both are higher than the Intel Core i7-1165G7, where the standard clock is 2.80 gigahertz and the maximum turbo clock is 4.70 gigahertz. There is no free multiplier, which means that both processors cannot be overclocked.

According to our benchmarks, the Intel Core i7-11370H is slightly faster than the Intel Core i7-1165G7, but you have to pay attention to the TDP set by the manufacturer.

The same internal graphics unit is used in both processors with the Intel Iris Xe Graphics 96 (Tiger Lake G7). This GPU is equipped with 96 execution units and 768 shader units. In the Intel Core i7-11370H, the iGPU clocks at up to 1.35 gigahertz a little higher than in the Intel Core i7-1165G7, where the maximum clock is 1.30 gigahertz.

The processors have 2 memory channels with which they can operate up to 64 gigabytes of DDR4-3200 RAM. The Intel Core i7-11370H also supports LPDDR4X-4266 type RAM.
