The Intel Processor N95 uses the more advanced 10nm process with four efficiency cores and four threads, 4 MB of Level 2 Cache and 6 MB of Level 3 Cache.

Its integrated graphics are Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Alder Lake). Both support PCIe Version 3.0. In single-core performance, both processors are comparable, with the Intel Core i5-6500 showing a marginal advantage. However, for multi-core tasks, the Intel Core i5-6500 significantly outperforms the Intel Processor N95, making it more powerful for parallelized workloads.

Neither processor is suitable for modern gaming. Their integrated graphics units only offer basic performance for very simple or older games. The maximum memory bandwidth is 34 GB/s for the Intel Core i5-6500 and 38 GB/s for the Intel Processor N95. The Intel Core i5-6500 has a higher Thermal Design Power (TDP), typical for its generation.

In contrast, the Intel Processor N95 is optimized for significantly lower power consumption, ideal for compact, energy-efficient systems. The Intel Core i5-6500 is primarily available very cost-effectively on the used market. The Intel Processor N95 is a newer chip that provides a modern, energy-efficient basis in inexpensive new systems or mini-PCs.

The Intel Core i5-6500 offers established multi-core performance. The Intel Processor N95 impresses with its modern architecture and low power consumption. For more demanding, parallel workloads or as a basis for a very affordable used system, the Intel Core i5-6500 is suitable. For new, energy-efficient and quiet systems for basic office work or media consumption, the Intel Processor N95 is the better choice.
