In direct comparison to the Intel Core i5-2400, the Intel Core i5-4570 delivers noticeably higher single-core and multi-core performance.

Its more modern architecture and more efficient manufacturing process enable better energy efficiency and superior performance in gaming scenarios, making it a more advantageous choice on the used market in terms of price-performance ratio. The Intel Core i5-2400 (Sandy Bridge S Architecture) was launched in the first quarter of 2011, also targeting the mainstream desktop segment.

Manufactured by Intel using the 32 nm process, this processor has four cores and four threads. It is equipped with Intel HD Graphics 2000 and supports PCIe 2.0 with a maximum memory bandwidth of 21 GB/s, as well as 6 MB of Level 3 Cache. Although the Intel Core i5-2400 is still suitable for basic tasks, performance tests show lower single-core and multi-core performance compared to the Intel Core i5-4570.

Its older architecture and 32 nm manufacturing process mean lower energy efficiency and less performance in demanding applications. However, for very budget-conscious users with simple requirements, it remains a cost-effective alternative.
