In benchmarks, the Intel Core i5-14500 shows high single-core performance and strong multi-core performance, making it suitable for gaming and conventional tasks. Power consumption is in an efficient range with a base power of 65 watts.

In contrast, the AMD EPYC 8024P is based on the Siena architecture with Zen 4c cores and is designed for use in edge servers and data centers.

The manufacturing takes place in a 5 nm process, which allows for a high packing density. This processor offers 8 cores and 16 threads, with a focus on energy efficiency and data throughput. The memory bandwidth is significantly higher than the desktop model at 230 GB/s, which favors rapid data exchange in server environments.

While the Level 3 cache comprises 32 MB, the Level 2 cache is specified as 0 MB. Due to server optimization and the lack of integrated graphics, the AMD EPYC 8024P is less suitable for gaming. The thermal design power is variably adjustable to meet professional cooling requirements.

The price-performance ratio is primarily oriented toward the total cost of ownership.
