Its integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 and a maximum memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s are designed for basic graphical tasks and very light entertainment. Single-core and multi-core performance is limited by today's standards, sufficient for simple office work or web browsing on older systems.

Its value today lies primarily in the replacement parts market for outdated devices. The Intel Processor N100, with its modern Alder Lake N-architecture, is a significantly newer processor from the 10 nm manufacturing process.

It has 4 efficient cores and 4 threads, 4 MB of Level 2 cache, and 6 MB of Level 3 cache. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics with 24 Execution Units offers improved graphics performance for media playback and simple applications. With a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s, the Intel Processor N100 significantly outperforms the older Intel Core i3-4010U in all performance areas, both in single-core and multi-core tasks.

It is also more energy-efficient and offers better value for money in new entry-level systems. Neither processor is suitable for demanding gaming, although the Intel Processor N100 offers somewhat better performance for light games and media. The Intel Processor N100 is the superior choice for most modern use cases, while the Intel Core i3-4010U is only considered for very budget-critical legacy systems.
