Intel Celeron N5095 vs Intel Celeron J3455

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J3455, based on the Apollo Lake architecture, was designed for low-power desktop applications such as basic home PCs or thin clients.

It is manufactured using a 14 nm process and features four cores and four threads. Its integrated Intel HD Graphics 500 provides basic visual capabilities. With a maximum memory bandwidth of 30 GB/s and 2 MB of Level 3 cache, its data processing is sufficient for undemanding tasks. Connectivity is provided via PCIe 2.0.

In terms of performance, it ranks below the Intel Celeron N5095, especially in single-core and multi-core applications as well as in very light gaming scenarios.

It is optimized for the lowest energy consumption and represents a cost-effective option for systems with basic requirements. The Intel Celeron N5095, based on the newer Jasper Lake architecture, is an improved option for similar application areas. It is manufactured using a more advanced 10 nm process and also integrates four cores and four threads.

Its Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Jasper Lake) offers noticeably higher graphical performance and is also better suited for undemanding media playback. With a maximum memory bandwidth of 47 GB/s, 2 MB of Level 2 cache, and 4 MB of Level 3 cache, it significantly surpasses the Intel Celeron J3455 in data processing and overall performance.

It supports PCIe 3.0 for faster peripherals. Although also energy-efficient, the Intel Celeron N5095 offers a better price-performance ratio thanks to its superior architecture and performance, and is the recommended choice for a more modern and responsive user experience.
