Intel Celeron N4500 vs Intel Processor N150

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N4500, introduced in the first quarter of 2021, is a processor for entry-level devices.

It utilizes the Jasper Lake architecture, manufactured in 10 nm, and offers two cores and two threads. Equipped with 2 MB L2 and 4 MB L3 cache, as well as Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Jasper Lake) and 47 GB/s maximum memory bandwidth, it is intended for basic computing tasks. The Intel Processor N150, released in the first quarter of 2023, targets similar segments but offers more performance.

Based on the Twin Lake architecture, manufactured in 7 nm, it features six cores and six threads, 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache. Its integrated graphics solution is the Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) with a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. In comparison, the Intel Processor N150 delivers over 10 percent higher performance in single- and multi-core applications than the Intel Celeron N4500, making it more advantageous for multitasking.

The Intel Processor N150 also has a slight advantage in graphics performance with more execution units for very light games, although neither is suitable for demanding gaming. Both CPUs are energy-efficient and ideal for fanless systems. The Intel Processor N150 offers better value for money for a noticeably smoother user experience.

For absolutely basic tasks, the Intel Celeron N4500 is sufficient, while the Intel Processor N150 is the better choice for more responsiveness.
