Intel Celeron N4120 vs Intel Processor N200

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N4120 is based on Intel's Gemini Lake architecture and was developed for use in low-cost, energy-efficient devices such as netbooks, mini-PCs, or educational laptops.

It is manufactured using the 14 nm process and has no Level 2 cache, but 4 MB of Level 3 cache. Its integrated graphics unit is the Intel UHD Graphics 600. It offers sufficient performance for basic computing tasks. The Intel Processor N200, on the other hand, belongs to the more modern Alder Lake N family and also targets the entry-level segment, but delivers a significantly improved architecture.

It is manufactured using the more advanced 10 nm process, which typically brings higher energy efficiency. This processor is equipped with 4 MB of Level 2 cache and 6 MB of Level 3 cache. The integrated graphics unit is the Intel UHD Graphics 32 EUs (Alder Lake). In a direct performance comparison, the Intel Processor N200 shows significantly higher single-core performance and also considerably outperforms the Intel Celeron N41120 in multi-core tasks.

This leads to noticeably better system responsiveness and smoother application execution. Neither processor is primarily designed for gaming scenarios. However, with its newer Intel UHD Graphics 32 EUs (Alder Lake), the Intel Processor N200 offers a modest improvement over the Intel UHD Graphics 600 of the Intel Celeron N4120, which can be noticeable in very light games or media playback.

The more efficient 10 nm manufacturing of the Intel Processor N200 can also lead to better energy efficiency, positively impacting battery life or cooling requirements. Without exact market prices, an accurate evaluation of the performance-to-price ratio is difficult, but the superior performance of the Intel Processor N200 makes it the preferred choice for a more modern and responsive user experience.
