Intel Celeron J1900 vs Intel Atom x6413E

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J1900 was released in the fourth quarter of 2013. It is based on the Bay Trail architecture and was designed for use in low-cost desktop systems as well as fanless industrial PCs.

Manufactured using the 22-nm process, this processor offers four cores and four threads. The technical features include a 2 megabyte Level 3 cache and support for PCIe 2.0. In terms of computing power, this model lags significantly behind more powerful solutions. In both single-core and multi-core scenarios, the Intel Celeron J1900 shows limited performance, which is sufficient for simple office tasks.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1) is optimized for basic image output, but offers hardly any reserves for graphically demanding applications. With a memory bandwidth of 21 GB/s, data transfer is limited. The low thermal power loss allows for silent operation. This model is suitable for tasks with minimal hardware requirements.

The Intel Atom x6413E was introduced in the first quarter of 2021. It originates from the Elkhart Lake architecture and is aimed at industrial applications and embedded systems.

Thanks to the 10-nm manufacturing process, the Intel Atom x6413E achieves high efficiency. It has four cores and offers improved data buffering with a 2 megabyte Level 2 cache. In common benchmarks, it significantly outperforms the comparison processor in single-core and multi-core performance, enabling smoother operation.

The Intel UHD Graphics 10th Gen (16 EU) provides increased graphics performance but is not suitable for gaming. Thanks to PCIe 3.0 and a memory bandwidth of 102 GB/s, the data throughput is high. Despite the increased performance, the thermal design power remains low. The Intel Atom x6413E offers a favorable performance-to-cost ratio and is recommended for applications with high efficiency requirements.
