Intel Atom C2530 vs Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF

Last updated:
The Intel Atom C2530, introduced in 2013 under the codename Avoton, was primarily designed for energy-efficient servers, NAS systems, and embedded solutions.

Manufactured using a 22 nm process, this processor features four cores and four threads. With only 2 MB of Level 3 Cache, its performance is geared towards very basic tasks; single-core and multi-core performance are minimal, intended for light server workloads. It is not suitable for gaming. It is characterized by very low power consumption and a low TDP, ideal for energy-sensitive environments.

With PCIe 2.0 and a maximum memory bandwidth of 21 GB/s, it is no longer suitable for modern requirements. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF is a highly modern desktop processor based on the Arrow Lake architecture, aimed at enthusiasts and users with demanding applications.

Manufactured using an advanced 3 nm process, it offers superior single-core performance and outstanding multi-core performance thanks to its hybrid architecture with many Performance and Efficient cores. Its generous 36 MB Level 2 and 30 MB Level 3 Cache significantly contribute to excellent performance in gaming scenarios and compute-intensive tasks.

Support for PCIe 5.0 and a maximum memory bandwidth of 102 GB/s are present. With a higher TDP, it delivers extreme computing power with good energy efficiency per performance delivered. It is positioned in the premium segment and offers strong value for money for the highest demands. The Intel Atom C2530 is the choice for use cases that require extremely low power consumption and simple computing tasks, such as in compact servers or specialized devices.

For all modern applications, especially for gaming or compute-intensive software, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF is clearly the better option, as it offers many times higher computing power.
