The AMD FX-8350 is an older desktop processor based on the Vishera architecture (Bulldozer), manufactured using a 32 nm process with 8 cores, 8 MB Level 3 cache, and 30 GB/s memory bandwidth.

It was developed for the mainstream desktop market of its time. The processor shows low single-core performance. In Cinebench R23, a higher multi-core performance was measured than with the Intel processor, while multi-core performance in Geekbench 6 is significantly lower. Integrated graphics are not present.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K is a state-of-the-art desktop processor with the forward-looking Arrow Lake architecture, manufactured using an advanced 3 nm process.

Designed for demanding users, gamers, and content creators, this processor offers a hybrid core architecture, 36 MB Level 2 cache, 30 MB Level 3 cache, and 102 GB/s memory bandwidth. It supports PCIe 5.0 and integrates the powerful Intel Xe 4 Core Graphics 64 EUs (Arrow Lake). It demonstrates many times higher single-core performance and significantly higher multi-core performance in Geekbench 6.

In a direct comparison, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K dominates in single-core performance and most multi-core benchmarks; for gaming, it is clearly superior. Only in Cinebench R23 Multi-Core did the AMD FX-8350 show a higher score. The FX-8350 leads to higher power consumption; the 3 nm process of the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K offers higher energy efficiency.

The price/performance ratio of the FX-8350 is very low today. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K offers high performance at a corresponding price and is clearly the better choice for modern applications.
