The Intel Pentium 2117U was designed as an energy-efficient processor for mobile devices. It belongs to the Ivy Bridge U architecture, manufactured in advanced 22 nm. At the time, this allowed for a good balance of energy efficiency and usable performance. It provided a solid foundation for everyday computer tasks, such as surfing the web or word processing.

It was a particularly good choice for slim notebooks or Ultrabooks back then. A particular advantage was the integrated Intel HD Graphics (Ivy Bridge GT1). This graphics unit enabled smooth media playback and typical office work. We saw at the time how well this worked for compact systems. With 2 MB Level 3 Cache, the chip supported fast data processing.

The Intel Pentium 2117U was thus a reliable companion for many users. Even today, it can still provide reliable service for simple tasks. It is not a high-performance chip, but functional for basic applications. Its strengths clearly lay in its suitability for everyday use and general reliability.
