The Intel Core i5-4200U was once a popular choice for slim notebooks. This processor, based on the Haswell U architecture, was manufactured using the 22-nanometer process. It offered a good balance of energy efficiency and sufficient computing power for everyday tasks. We recall that it was very reliable for office applications and web browsing.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 enabled media playback and occasional, less demanding games. With 3 MB Level 3 Cache, frequently used data was quickly provided. Its low power consumption made it ideal for mobile devices that required long battery life. In Cinebench 2024, this chip achieves 28 points in the single-core test.

It handles multicore tasks with 84 points. This shows that it still offers solid performance for basic tasks. The Intel Core i5-4200U remains an example of the processor development of its time.
