Benchmarks & Specs

Last updated:
We have taken a closer look at the Intel Core 5 processor 221TE for our systems. This chip is based on the modern Bartlett Lake architecture and is manufactured using a proven process. Production takes place in an optimized process with a structure width of exactly ten nanometers. We particularly like the Level 3 cache with a proud capacity of 24 megabytes of memory.

This amount of cache ensures smooth processing of many smaller data packets in daily operation. For modern hardware connections, the Intel Core 5 processor 221TE offers full support for the PCIe 5.0 standard. This allows fast graphics cards or storage solutions to be connected directly to the processing unit without major delays.

The memory bandwidth reaches values of up to 90 gigabytes per second when accessing the RAM. We found that this bandwidth is completely sufficient for most applications in this segment. The Intel UHD Graphics 730 is also integrated, which handles simple graphical tasks reliably and economically. The model is characterized by solid efficiency, which we noticed positively during longer test series.

The Intel Core 5 processor 221TE is therefore a reasonable choice for users with a clear focus. Anyone looking for a stable base will find a balanced mix of modern technology and proven reliability here. The processing unit shows good performance in applications that do not place the highest demands on cores.

Overall, the package seems harmonious, even if it does not represent a classic powerhouse for complex workflows. We consider the product a sensible addition to the current chip generations. It meets the expectations that one can have of a solid all-rounder today.
