Intel Processor U300 vs Intel Processor 300

Last updated:
The Intel Processor U300 is based on the energy-efficient Raptor Lake U architecture and is manufactured using the 10 nm process.

It is designed for compact systems that require solid performance for everyday tasks with low power consumption. This processor features 10 MB of Level 3 Cache and an integrated 13th Generation Intel UHD Graphics (48 EU). The Intel Processor 300 is a desktop processor from the Raptor Lake S family, also manufactured in 10 nm.

It is designed for basic desktop applications and offers 3 MB of Level 2 Cache, 6 MB of Level 3 Cache, and Intel UHD Graphics 710. This processor also supports PCIe 4.0. In terms of performance, the Intel Processor U300 shows significantly higher multi-core performance and noticeably outperforms the Intel Processor 300 in some single-core benchmarks as well.

This makes the Intel Processor U300 more versatile for multitasking. For light gaming, the integrated graphics unit of the Intel Processor U300 offers slightly better performance than that of the Intel Processor 300; however, both are not designed for demanding gaming.

The Intel Processor U300, as a U-series processor, is optimized for energy efficiency, while the Intel Processor 300, as an S-series processor, has a standard TDP for desktop systems. Without current prices, an accurate price-performance evaluation is difficult. However, due to its superior performance and graphics at comparable costs, the Intel Processor U300 offers a better ratio.

The Intel Processor 300 is more suitable for very cost-conscious entry-level solutions.
