Intel Processor N200 vs Intel Processor N150

Last updated:
The Intel Processor N200 and Intel Processor N150 are energy-efficient desktop processors, designed for cost-effective entry-level systems.

They are suitable for basic applications such as browsing, word processing, and media playback. The Intel Processor N200 uses the Alder Lake N architecture and is manufactured on a 10 nm process, with four cores and four threads. The Intel Processor N150 is based on Twin Lake and is manufactured on a 7 nm process, equipped with two cores and two threads.

Both share 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache, a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s, and support PCIe 3.0. In Geekbench 6, both processors show similar single-core performance, while the Intel Processor N200 offers noticeably higher multi-core performance there. Surprisingly, the Intel Processor N150 delivers significantly better single-core performance in Cinebench 2024 and considerably superior multi-core performance in both Cinebench R23 and Cinebench 2024.

Both processors are only suitable to a limited extent for gaming. The Intel Processor N200 features Intel UHD Graphics with 32 EUs, while the Intel Processor N150 has Intel UHD Graphics with 24 EUs. The higher EU count of the Intel Processor N200 promises slightly better, but still very limited, graphics performance for very simple or older titles.

Both processors are designed for low power consumption, ideal for fanless or quiet systems. Their TDP is typically in the low watt range. The 7 nm manufacturing process of the Intel Processor N150 indicates high efficiency, while the 10 nm Alder Lake N architecture of the Intel Processor N200 is also optimized for energy efficiency.

Since both are usually integrated as soldered components in inexpensive systems, a direct price comparison is difficult. Their good price-performance ratio results from providing sufficient performance for basic tasks at low system costs. The Intel Processor N200 offers stronger multi-core performance in Geekbench 6 and slightly more powerful integrated graphics, suitable for slightly more demanding everyday applications.

The Intel Processor N150 excels in Cinebench 2024 with significantly higher single- and multi-core performance, as well as in Cinebench R23 multi-core, which makes it advantageous for extremely energy-efficient systems with specific workloads. For general office and web use, both are solid options.
