The Intel Processor N100, based on the Alder Lake N architecture and manufactured in 10 nm, is designed for energy-efficient desktop systems and mini-PCs.

It features 4 cores, a Level 2 cache of 4 MB, and a Level 3 cache of 6 MB. The MediaTek Helio G99 is manufactured using a 6 nm process and targets mobile devices.

It is an octa-core processor with 2 Cortex-A76 and 6 Cortex-A55 cores, but without a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 cache. In terms of performance, the Intel Processor N100 shows significantly higher single-core and multi-core performance. Its higher single-core performance improves system responsiveness, while multi-core performance is more advantageous for multitasking scenarios.

For gaming, both processors, with their integrated graphics units – Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) for the N100 and ARM Mali-G57 MP2 for the G99 – are only suitable for very light games. The N100 offers a memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s and PCIe 3.0. The G99 has a bandwidth of 34 GB/s. Both CPUs are designed for high energy efficiency.

The Intel Processor N100 has a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 6 watts, ideal for fanless systems. The MediaTek Helio G99 is optimized for long battery life in mobile devices. The price-performance ratio is good in their respective segments, with the N100 found in budget-friendly PCs and the G99 in mid-range smartphones.
