The Intel Processor N100 was designed for the budget micro-computer market and is based on the Alder Lake N architecture.

Production uses the 10-nanometer process. With its four cores, it provides a solid foundation for everyday office work. In benchmarks, the Intel Processor N100 achieves higher performance in single-core and multi-core calculations, with the gaps to the comparison model significantly exceeding ten percent.

In gaming scenarios, however, the performance of the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) is below that of the comparison model. Thanks to the low thermal design power, the model operates very energy-efficiently and allows for fanless case designs. The price-performance ratio is advantageous for compact systems, as the acquisition costs for corresponding end devices are usually in the lower segment.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 was developed for efficient mobile end devices and uses an architecture of Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores.

Production uses a 6-nanometer process. While the raw computing power in benchmarks falls behind the Intel model, the ARM Mali-G68 MP4 graphics unit offers advantages in displaying graphically oriented applications and in gaming scenarios. The memory bandwidth of 44 GB/s ensures fast data processing.

Regarding thermal design, the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 is optimized for minimal energy consumption, making it ideal for compact, fanless systems. Since the chip is usually permanently installed, the price-performance ratio depends on the respective end device. It is recommended for specialized areas of application where energy efficiency takes precedence over maximum computing power.
