Intel Processor N100 vs Intel Processor N250

Last updated:
The Intel Processor N100 is based on the Alder Lake N architecture, is manufactured using the 10 nm process, and was launched in early 2023.

This processor is aimed at price-conscious users for office tasks or media consumption. It has four cores and four threads and is equipped with 4 MB Level 2 cache and 6 MB Level 3 cache. In terms of computing power, the Intel Processor N100 delivers significantly higher performance in single-core and multi-core tasks than the comparison model.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) is designed for simple graphical requirements. The maximum memory bandwidth is 38 GB/s. In terms of power consumption, the chip is optimized for low thermal output. The price-performance ratio is favorable. It is recommended for users who need a stable system for word processing.

The Intel Processor N250 uses the Twin Lake architecture, is manufactured using the 7 nm process, and was introduced in 2024.

This chip is designed for compact desktop solutions where energy efficiency is central. The processor offers four cores and four threads, complemented by 4 MB Level 2 cache and 6 MB Level 3 cache. The computing power of the Intel Processor N250 is noticeably lower in benchmarks than that of the Intel Processor N100.

However, it features Intel Graphics 32 EUs (Alder Lake), which gives it advantages in graphical applications due to the higher number of execution units. The maximum memory bandwidth is 38 GB/s. The thermal design power is set low, which favors fanless use. Despite the more modern manufacturing, the pure processing speed lags behind the competing model.

It is suitable if the graphics unit is more important.
