Intel Processor N100 vs Intel Processor 310

Last updated:
The Intel Processor N100, based on the Alder Lake N architecture and manufactured in 10 nm, is designed for energy-efficient and compact systems.

Its primary application lies in basic computing tasks, media playback, and thin clients, where low power consumption is a priority. It uses an energy-efficient core configuration that delivers balanced performance for everyday applications. In benchmarks, the Intel Processor N100 shows solid single-core performance and respectable multi-core performance, sufficient for such purposes.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) with a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s supports basic graphical requirements. This processor is not designed for demanding gaming. It supports PCIe 3.0. The Intel Processor 310, based on the Raptor Lake S Refresh architecture and also manufactured in 10 nm, targets entry-level desktops that require slightly higher computing power.

It uses a core configuration aimed at improved performance for common desktop applications. In direct comparison, the Intel Processor 310 offers significantly higher single-core performance and multi-core performance, making it better suited for general office work and light multitasking.

Its integrated Intel UHD Graphics 710 benefits from a maximum memory bandwidth of 77 GB/s. Although it is not a gaming CPU, its higher CPU performance and improved integrated graphics unit can offer a marginally better experience for very light games. The processor also supports the faster PCIe 4.0 standard.
