Intel Processor N100 vs Intel Core Ultra 7 155H

Last updated:
The Intel Processor N100, based on the 10 nm Alder Lake N architecture, is an energy-efficient processor designed for cost-effective mini-PCs and embedded solutions.

It uses a configuration focused on efficiency cores. In contrast, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H is a powerful mobile processor of the 7 nm Meteor Lake H architecture, offering a hybrid design of performance, efficiency, and low-power efficiency cores for premium laptops.

In terms of performance, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H significantly outperforms the Intel Processor N100 in single-core and multi-core benchmarks. It should be noted, however, that in Cinebench R23, the multi-core values for both processors are unusually lower than their single-core values.

For gaming scenarios, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, with its integrated Intel Iris Xe 8 Core Graphics 128 EUs and 120 GB/s memory bandwidth, is the clearly superior choice. The Intel Processor N100 with its Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) is only suitable for very basic graphics performance. The Intel Processor N100 is characterized by low power consumption and low TDP, ideal for passive cooling.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H has a higher TDP but delivers significantly higher overall performance and requires more robust cooling systems. The price-performance ratio of the Intel Processor N100 is excellent for basic applications. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H justifies its higher price through superior computing and graphics performance.

For everyday office work, the Intel Processor N100 is suitable; for demanding multitasking and gaming, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H is the recommendation.
