The Intel Core i5-4570, introduced in the second quarter of 2013, was a mainstream desktop processor based on the Haswell S architecture.

Manufactured in 22 nm, it features 4 cores, 4 threads, 6 MB of Level 3 Cache, and a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 84 W. Its integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 offers a maximum memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s and utilizes PCIe 3.0. It offered solid performance for everyday office and multimedia tasks. In older benchmarks, it showed comparable multi-core performance and only slightly lower single-core performance than the newer Intel Processor N100.

It is not suitable for gaming and is primarily available on the used market. The Intel Processor N100, introduced in the first quarter of 2023, is an energy-efficient processor based on the Alder Lake N architecture, designed for compact systems. Manufactured using a finer 10 nm process, it also offers 4 cores and 4 threads, 4 MB of Level 2 Cache, and 6 MB of Level 3 Cache.

It is characterized by its very low power consumption. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) benefits from a higher maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s and offers improved multimedia capabilities. In newer benchmarks like Cinebench 2024, the Intel Processor N100 surpasses the Intel Core i5-4570 in single-core and multi-core performance by over 10 percent.

Its more modern graphics unit offers a slight advantage in very simple games. It is a cost-effective basis for new, basic systems that prioritize efficiency. For use in older desktop systems with standard applications and less focus on energy efficiency, the Intel Core i5-4570 is suitable.

The Intel Processor N100 is recommended for modern, power-saving mini-PCs or thin clients that need to perform basic tasks efficiently.
