The Intel Processor N100, introduced in late 2022 with the "Alder Lake N" architecture, is designed for energy-efficient entry-level desktops and mini-PCs.

It is manufactured using a 10 nm process and features four cores and four threads. In contrast, the AMD GX-212JC is an older embedded processor from 2013, based on the "Temash (Jaguar+)" architecture and manufactured using a 28 nm process.

It offers two cores and two threads and is aimed at very simple, cost-effective systems. The performance of the Intel Processor N100 is significantly superior in single-core and multi-core scenarios. Its modern architecture and more efficient manufacturing enable smoother handling of everyday tasks such as web browsing or office applications.

The AMD GX-212JC offers very basic performance, sufficient only for minimal requirements. In terms of graphics performance, the Intel Processor N100 also leads with its integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake), which allows for better display and 4K media playback. The AMD Radeon HD 8210 of the AMD GX-212JC is significantly weaker.

Both processors are designed for low power consumption. The Intel Processor N100 benefits from its advanced 10 nm manufacturing process, which ensures high energy efficiency and makes it ideal for fanless systems. The AMD GX-212JC also has low power consumption, but due to its older 28 nm process, it is less efficient per watt.

In terms of price-performance ratio, the Intel Processor N100 significantly outperforms the AMD GX-212JC, as it offers much higher performance for modern entry-level systems at an attractive price. Today, the AMD GX-212JC is mainly found in older or highly specialized embedded solutions.

For most use cases beyond very basic tasks, the Intel Processor N100 is the better choice. It offers a more modern platform, higher computing and graphics performance, and better energy efficiency for office, web, and media. The AMD GX-212JC is only recommended for extremely simple embedded tasks or as a cost-effective replacement in legacy systems.
