Intel Pentium N3710 vs Intel Processor N150

Last updated:
The Intel Pentium N3710 (Braswell architecture, mid-2010s) and the Intel Processor N150 (Twin Lake architecture, approx.

2023) are both entry-level processors. The N3710 was manufactured using the 14 nm process, while the N150 uses the more modern 7 nm process. Both typically have four cores. The N3710 offers 2 MB of Level 3 cache, while the N150 features significantly more with 4 MB of Level 2 and 6 MB of Level 3 cache, and delivers a higher memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s compared to 26 GB/s.

In performance tests, the Intel Processor N150 is significantly superior to the Intel Pentium N3710 in single- and multi-core scenarios, which is due to its newer architecture. The N150 also has an advantage in integrated graphics performance with its Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) compared to the Intel HD Graphics 405 (16EU) of the N3710, although neither is suitable for demanding gaming.

Both CPUs are energy-efficient and ideal for fanless systems. The N150 offers improved efficiency here. While the older Intel Pentium N3710 is only suitable for very basic tasks in low-cost older devices, the Intel Processor N150 offers a significantly better price-performance ratio for modern office and multimedia applications.

It is clearly the better choice for current entry-level devices.
