It is well-suited for everyday tasks, office applications, web browsing, and light gaming, making it a solid foundation for budget-conscious systems with modern requirements. The Intel Pentium E6700, introduced around Q3 2010, was designed for entry-level desktop systems.

It is based on the Wolfdale (Penryn) architecture and manufactured using the 45 nm process, providing two cores and two threads. Its single-core performance is considerably lower, and its multi-core performance is severely limited. This processor has 2 MB of Level 2 Cache and achieves a maximum memory bandwidth of 21 GB/s.

Without an integrated graphics unit, a separate graphics card is mandatory, which makes it unsuitable for modern games. With a TDP of 65W, it was typical for its time. It is ideal for very simple systems, older applications, or as a replacement part, as its performance is severely limited for current software.
