The Intel Processor N100 (Alder Lake N), released in early 2023, is designed for entry-level systems with extremely low power consumption and basic computing needs.

Manufacturing Process and Cores/Threads: The Intel Core i7-7500U is manufactured using a 14 nm process and features 2 cores, 4 threads, and 4 MB L3 cache. The Intel Processor N100 uses a more modern 10 nm process (Intel 7) with 4 efficiency cores, 4 threads, 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache.

Single-Core and Multi-Core Performance: Thanks to its newer architecture, the Intel Processor N100 offers a significant advantage over the Intel Core i7-7500U in both single-core and multi-core performance, making it more powerful for parallel tasks. Performance in Gaming Scenarios: Both processors are not suitable for demanding gaming.

However, the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs of the Intel Processor N100 offers slightly improved graphics performance compared to the Intel HD Graphics 620 of the Intel Core i7-7500U. Power Consumption and TDP: The Intel Processor N100 is designed for significantly lower power consumption with a very low Thermal Design Power (TDP), ideal for passively cooled systems.

The Intel Core i7-7500U has a higher TDP. Price-Performance Ratio: The Intel Processor N100 currently offers a better price-performance ratio. It is available in new, inexpensive systems and delivers superior computing performance compared to the older Intel Core i7-7500U.
