Intel Core i7-6770HQ vs Intel Processor N150

Last updated:
The Intel Core i7-6770HQ was introduced in the second quarter of 2016 and was based on the Skylake H architecture, manufactured using the 14 nm process.

This processor, primarily designed for powerful mobile workstations and gaming laptops, features 4 cores and 8 threads, offering higher single-core and multi-thread performance than the Intel Processor N150, ideal for demanding applications and multitasking.

Its integrated Intel Iris Pro Graphics 580 is also more powerful than that of the N150, enabling easier gaming. With a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 45 watts, it requires more robust cooling and has higher power consumption than the N150. It is no longer available new; its price-performance ratio is only relevant on the used market.

The Intel Processor N150 was launched in the first quarter of 2023 and uses the energy-efficient Twin Lake architecture, manufactured using the 7 nm process. It is intended for cost-effective and power-saving devices such as mini-PCs and thin clients. This processor features 5 cores and 5 threads in a hybrid configuration of one performance core and four efficient cores.

Its integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs is optimized for basic multimedia applications and offers lower graphics performance than the Core i7-6770HQ. With a TDP of only 6.5 watts, the Intel Processor N150 is extremely energy-efficient, enables fanless systems, and exhibits significantly lower heat generation.

It offers good value for money for everyday tasks in new devices.
