The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 handles graphics output. In games, the architecture limits the frame rate in computationally intensive scenarios. The Thermal Design Power is 84 watts. It is an affordable option for simple basic systems. For pure office work, this processor is a practical choice.

The Intel Core i7-6700 uses the Skylake S architecture and is produced using the 14-nanometer process.

It is aimed at users with higher computing power requirements. Thanks to additional threads, it offers multi-core performance that exceeds the Intel Core i5-4590 by more than ten percent. It also shows advantages in single-core performance in most tests. The memory bandwidth of 34 GB/s, PCIe 3.0, and an L3 cache of 8 MB with 0 MB L2 cache improve data throughput.

In games, the architecture ensures more stable frame rates. With a Thermal Design Power of 65 watts, it is more efficient. The Intel Core i7-6700 is the better choice for more demanding applications and versatile desktop computers.
