In benchmarks, the Intel Core i7-4790T shows superior multi-core performance as well as higher single-core performance in specific test environments. In gaming scenarios, it offers only basic performance due to the Intel HD Graphics 4600, but benefits from the higher Thermal Design Power of 45 watts compared to extremely economical chips.

With 8 MB Level 3 cache, PCIe 3.0, and a memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s, it remains a reliable choice for classic desktop tasks. The price-performance ratio is primarily relevant on the used market, where it serves as an affordable upgrade for older systems. The Intel Processor N100 uses the more modern Alder Lake N architecture and is primarily intended for energy-efficient microcomputers and fanless systems.

Thanks to the 10-nanometer manufacturing process, the processor achieves high efficiency with four cores and four threads. In single-core performance, the Intel Processor N100 often acts on par with the comparison model, but falls measurably behind in multi-core performance. An advantage in graphical tasks is the Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake), which supports more modern video standards, although overall gaming performance remains low.

Despite a minimal power consumption of only 6 watts, it offers a memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s and 4 MB Level 2 cache. It is recommended for silent office systems where low operating costs and modern interfaces are a priority.
