Manufactured using the 10 nm process, it features 4 cores, 4 threads, 4 MB of Level 2 cache, 6 MB of Level 3 cache, and Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake). Both processors have a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. In single-core performance, the Intel Processor N100 significantly outperforms the Intel Core i5-8265U.

Multi-core performance is comparable for both processors. They are only very conditionally suitable for gaming; however, thanks to its more modern architecture, the Intel Processor N100 tends to offer improved integrated graphics performance. The Intel Processor N100 impresses with a TDP of typically 6 watts, ideal for fanless systems, in contrast to the approximately 15 watts of the Intel Core i5-8265U.

The latter can be found in used, affordable devices, while the Intel Processor N100 offers good value for money in new, energy-efficient systems. The Intel Core i5-8265U is a solid option for general tasks in affordable used devices. The Intel Processor N100 is the better choice for maximum energy efficiency and modern basic functions in new, compact systems.
