Intel Core i5-7600T vs Intel Processor N150

The Intel Core i5-7600T (Kaby Lake S, 2017) is a 14 nm processor for desktop systems, typically offering 4 cores and 4 threads.

The newer Intel Processor N150 (Twin Lake) is manufactured using the more advanced 7 nm process and is designed for energy-efficient entry-level systems, also with 4 cores and 4 threads.

Both CPUs show comparable single-core performance in Geekbench 6. However, the Intel Core i5-7600T outperforms the Intel Processor N150 in multi-core tasks by over 20 percent. Gaming performance is fundamentally limited for both processors. The Intel Core i5-7600T features Intel HD Graphics 630.

The Intel Processor N150 integrates a newer Intel UHD Graphics (Alder Lake) with 24 EUs, which can be slightly more advantageous for very light games. Both support PCIe 3.0. Regarding power consumption, the Intel Processor N150 is significantly more efficient than the power-saving T-variant Intel Core i5-7600T, thanks to its 7 nm manufacturing and optimized architecture.

While the Intel Core i5-7600T, as an older model, is mostly available used, the Intel Processor N150 is installed in new, energy-efficient systems. For more demanding, parallel CPU workloads, the Intel Core i5-7600T offers higher performance. For systems that value maximum energy efficiency, modern integrated graphics for light tasks, and a new form factor, the Intel Processor N150 is the better choice.
