The Intel Core i5-750 (Lynnfield architecture, 2009) is a 45 nm desktop processor with 4 cores and 4 threads, 1 MB L2 and 8 MB L3 cache, PCIe 2.0, and 17 GB/s memory bandwidth.

The Intel Processor N100 (Alder Lake N architecture, 2023) is an energy-efficient 10 nm chip for compact systems.

It also offers 4 cores and 4 threads, but with 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache, PCIe 3.0, 38 GB/s memory bandwidth, and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake). The computing performance of the Intel Processor N100 significantly surpasses the Intel Core i5-750.

Its modern architecture and 10 nm manufacturing process enable significantly higher performance per clock cycle. The Intel Processor N100 is clearly superior in single-core and multi-core tasks, making it better suited for current everyday applications. Neither processor is primarily designed for gaming.

The Intel Core i5-750 requires a dedicated graphics card, whose performance would be severely limited by its outdated architecture. The integrated graphics unit of the Intel Processor N100 is only sufficient for basic multimedia tasks. Thanks to its 10 nm manufacturing process, the Intel Processor N100 exhibits significantly higher energy efficiency and lower power consumption than the 45 nm Intel Core i5-750.

The latter is only available used. The Intel Processor N100 offers a better price-performance ratio for modern requirements and low energy consumption in new, cost-effective mini-PCs.
