The Intel Core i5-4570 was launched in 2013 and is primarily designed for home users. The architecture with the codename Haswell S is produced in a 22 nm process.

With four physical cores and four threads, the processor offers a reliable basis for daily tasks. Since the single-core performance in benchmarks is more than 10 percent higher than that of the comparison model, it works very efficiently in games and standard applications. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 allows operation without a dedicated graphics card.

With a TDP of 84 watts, the heat development remains controllable. Thanks to PCIe 3.0 and a memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s, a stable system connection is guaranteed. Overall, the Intel Core i5-4570 impresses with its high efficiency per core. The AMD FX-8320 is based on the Vishera architecture and is aimed at users who process many parallel processes.

It is manufactured in a 32 nm process and provides eight computing cores. While the performance per core is lower than that of the Intel model, it shows its strengths in applications that benefit from many threads. The processor offers 8 MB of L3 cache and a memory bandwidth of 30 GB/s. The thermal design power is quite high at 125 watts, which requires powerful cooling.

In many games, the AMD FX-8320 cannot fully exploit its core count, as these are often dependent on high single-core performance. It is therefore particularly suitable for inexpensive workstations where multitasking is the priority.
