The Intel Core i5-10600 was introduced as part of the Comet Lake S architecture for the mainstream market.

This processor is manufactured using the 14 nm process and offers six cores and twelve threads. It uses the PCIe 3.0 interface and has a memory bandwidth of 43 GB/s. With 0 MB of Level 2 cache and a Level 3 cache of 12 MB, it provides a solid foundation for everyday applications. In benchmarks, the Intel Core i5-10600 shows lower single-core and multi-core performance compared to its successor.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles simple graphical tasks. In games, the Intel Core i5-10600 offers stable frame rates, but does not benefit from newer instruction set extensions. The power consumption is in the usual range for this TDP class, making it an affordable option for older platforms.

The Intel Core i5-11400 is based on the Rocket Lake S architecture and is also manufactured using the 14 nm process.

It is aimed at budget-conscious users seeking expanded standards. The processor features six cores and twelve threads, complemented by 3 MB of Level 2 cache and 12 MB of Level 3 cache. A major advantage is the support for PCIe 4.0 as well as an increased memory bandwidth of 51 GB/s. In benchmarks, the Intel Core i5-11400 clearly outperforms its predecessor in single-core and multi-core performance.

This results in higher gaming performance due to the improved architecture. An updated graphics unit, the Intel UHD Graphics 730, is integrated. Despite similar TDP values, it offers a better price-to-performance ratio due to its features and is a recommendation for more modern systems.
