Intel Core i3-N300 vs Intel Processor N95

The Intel Core i3-N300 and Intel Processor N95 are desktop processors based on the Alder Lake N architecture, manufactured using the 10 nm process.

They are designed for energy-efficient applications in mini-PCs, thin clients, and embedded systems that seek reliable performance for basic tasks. The Intel Core i3-N300 features 8 cores and 8 threads, while the Intel Processor N95 is equipped with 4 cores and 4 threads.

Both exclusively use energy-efficient Gracemont cores. In performance tests, the Intel Core i3-N300 shows noticeably better performance in single-core tasks. For applications that benefit from multiple cores, the Intel Core i3-N300 demonstrates significantly higher multi-core performance compared to the Intel Processor N95.

In some single-core scenarios, however, both processors are comparable. Both processors are not primarily designed for gaming scenarios. The Intel Core i3-N300 is equipped with a 13th generation Intel UHD Graphics with 32 Execution Units (EUs), while the Intel Processor N95 uses Intel UHD Graphics with 16 EUs (Alder Lake).

Due to the higher number of EUs, the Intel Core i3-N300 offers slightly superior graphics performance, which is sufficient for basic multimedia tasks and very light games. The maximum memory bandwidth for both processors is 38 GB/s. Both CPUs are optimized for low power consumption and low heat generation, making them ideal for energy-efficient systems.

Their design aims for low heat generation, which allows for use in fanless or passively cooled systems. For users who need a bit more processing power for multitasking or media playback, the Intel Core i3-N300 offers better performance thanks to its superior core count. The Intel Processor N95 is a more cost-effective option for basic office work and web browsing.

For budget-conscious applications that only require basic needs, the Intel Processor N95 is a solid option.
