Its performance is sufficient for office and web browsing. In direct comparison to the Intel Core i3-9100T, it shows lower single-core and multi-core performance.

The Intel Core i3-9100T, introduced in the second quarter of 2019, belongs to the newer Coffee Lake S Refresh architecture and is also energy-efficient. It is manufactured using a 14 nm process but offers 4 cores and 4 threads, as well as a larger 6 MB Level 3 cache. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 and PCIe 3.0 are also present.

This processor delivers noticeably higher single-core and multi-core performance, making it better suited for multitasking and more demanding applications. Both "T" processors are optimized for low power consumption and low heat generation, ideal for compact systems. For gaming, they are only conditionally suitable with their integrated graphics solutions, although the Intel Core i3-9100T offers an advantage in casual gaming due to its higher CPU performance.

In terms of price-performance ratio, the Intel Core i3-9100T is the better choice, as it delivers significantly more computing power for a moderate extra cost. The Intel Core i3-7100T is only recommended for systems with minimal requirements. For most use cases, the Intel Core i3-9100T is the more powerful and future-proof option.
